I'm so far behind... My blog still looks like February... I haven't done much scrapping... I've been working a lot... taking care of some Primary stuff... and well, just kind of running under the radar lately.


I have been participating at weekly challenges at one of my favorite digi sites - jenwilsondesigns.com... so these are my latest layouts from there...

John had his Lego Robotics competition. Their team didn't do well overall, but they placed second for their Programming. I was proud of them for that accomplishment.

Ben has had a disappointing month. He had been working on a Destination Imagination team & had put quite a bit of energy into it. I had taken some time off work to help when one of the coaches had been out of town, and while they were a bit behind a little direction would have done wonders for the team. The next week when the coach was back in town she decided to cancel their participation in the competition. The kids had no input into the decision. I was so frustrated & never really got a decent answer from her. I spoke to the teacher who oversaw the whole program, but nothing happened. Ben was so disappointed, and who could blame him.

Other than that, we just keep moving along.

Have you ever had a moment when you heard something & wham, bam you went back in time to those fun (or some sad) moments. Mine was as I was taking the elevator in the parking ramp down to the street this morning. The elevator music sounded familiar - & so I reached way back into the cobwebs of my mind... & I was immediately back to 1980.

What a fun summer that was... I then googled an old friend from that summer. Don't you just love google?

So... if anyone is in Salt Lake & wants to check out Diva's Cupcakes & Coffee for me & have a taste of what is supposed to be spectacular cupcakes, say hi to the owner for me... Tell him Lynne thinks of him often & hopes he's having a great life!

Ok - you don't need to remind me that the music I used to listen is now being played as elevator music! I get it! I'm getting old !! :)

Sad day!

I learned a lesson today - it's best to come to work on time.

Target opened 2 new stores today in Hawaii. This morning as people walked into the different buildings they were handing out little stuffed Bullseye dogs in their red Hawaiian apparel. To my dismay, I missed the handout & so now am feeling a little left out without my cute little Hawaiian dog that everyone has displayed in their cubies :( So sad!
